We walked into the main entrance around noon on a Saturday and found the restaurant about 70% empty. In spite of occupying the entire front entrance we were made to feel invisible. Several of the employees made eye contact with us but did not bother to say hi. As we attempted to have a sit, the area waitress told us that we had to wait (1) to be seated and (2) for a table to be available. I explained than no one had greeted us and showed her that more than 70% of the tables were unoccupied. She did not apologize on behalf of the restaurant and asked us to wait while she checked. While this was happening my husband was given one of those vibrating pages by the hostess —that made no sense, the restaurant was practically empty. The waitress that was assigned to us was very polity. The food was just OK. My husband’s fish of the day was a little too spicy and my crab cake was average at best. To make it worse, the restaurant manager walked by our table several times asking about their experience but never bothered to ask us. In all, the poor customer service made the experience horrible and gave our one day trip to Virginia Beach a deplorable start.
